Do you want to know the quickest way to generate a quote for a potential customer?
This quick video shows you how to collect the client’s information so that a quote can be generated efficiently.
Getting Info for a Quote
When a client requests a quote, navigate to Client Quick Add. Use the tiny icon that looks like a person in the light blue bar at the top of the page.
The Client Quick Add pop-up allows you to immediately collect the insured name, any co-applicant details, contact information, referral, source, and status.
Change the Status to Quote.
Ask what type of quote they are looking for.
Select the “+” in the top right-hand corner of the Policies section. An immediate popup box will appear, “Manage Policy Components”.
As an example, select Personal Auto from the drop-down menu. Click the green Select button.
At this time, request the potential customer’s desired coverages, billing/payment cycle, their desired term length, renewal date, if they currently have coverage, who they are currently with and what date they renew.
In the Coverages box, click the red X boxes to delete any of the auto-filled information that does not apply. To add coverage, just type in the drop-down menu inside the Coverages section.
Add the vehicle information in the Vehicles section and the driver information in the Drivers section.
Click the green Save button at the top right of the Client Policy View screen.
Once quotes have been gathered and you’ve chosen the best carrier who’s quote you want to provide, come back to the Client Policy View.
Add the Company, insert the premium amount, change the Policy Status to Quoted, and click save.
Use the Suspense box in the upper right corner of the screen to create reminders to follow up. The green Text/Email button may be used to contact the potential customer.
Once the quote has been accepted, convert the quote into an active policy by replacing TBD with the new policy number and changing the policy status to active.
Remember to provide a receipt and scan in any applicable files.
